Professional Development
Why?

Our Professional Development

aims to:

  • Raise awareness among teachers, schools, districts, and county offices of education about current state and federal accountability systems and provide practical guidance on how to improve student achievement and performance on state and local assessments.
  • Work with you to collaboratively assess your needs and design appropriate professional development that is customized to your school, district, or county office.
What?

Our professional development services:

•  Provide educators with proven techniques to increase high stakes test scores.

•  Can be customized for specific topics and needs.

•  Include handouts for attendees.

Professional Development Webinars

For educators who are unable to attend a workshop or wish to cut down on the cost of bringing a presenter to them, we offer online professional development via GoToMeeting software. This allows large or small groups of educators to see demonstrations and/or presentations and to collaborate – from their own PC or Mac.

How?

Past examples of our services include:

  • Workshops on using data to guide classroom instruction.
  • Presentations on current issues facing educators, including the impact of the California High School Exit Exam on schools and districts, issues related to the dropout crisis, understanding accountability, and the impact of data inaccuracies on educational accountability, to name a few.
  • Customized district or site-level data presentations on understanding and using state assessment data.
  • Easy-to-understand presentations and workshops to district and county Board of Trustees.
Each of our solutions is part of a comprehensive process:
